Intestines Took Place of Uterus?

After a hysterectomy, do the intestines take the space where the uterus once was?

Intestines Took Place of Uterus?

My doctor told me that there would be a shift to fill in where the uterus had been. I suppose the intestines are the most logical to shift, they however, do not take the place of the uterus, just move positions.

Hope that helps.

Intestines Took Place of Uterus?

My doctor's office gave me a general pamphlet about hysterectomy and it specifically said the intestines would settle into the area vacated by the parts removed.

My mom had a hysterectomy about ten years ago and her doctor told her the same thing, but described it "like a bowl of spaghetti!" (You know, take some out, and the rest sort of settles till you can't see the difference)

I know right after my surgery I felt WEIRD with all the stuff missing. But seeing the pictures of the aliens they removed ... good riddance!!!

It's strange but it must be true that the intestines do kind of fall into place. I can tell because if I get gassy I feel it in different places now. Weird!!

It was weird after my surgery before I started eating I was laying down and felt my tummy where my uterus was and it felt like a hole there. It filled in after I got up and walked the first time. Felt very strange, like aliens moving around in there!
