Extreme Inflammation
Since week 4, now at week 6 post op, I have been in such extreme pain. Had kidney infection, been to er for pain mgmt, had ct scan, the works. Everything looks fine, just very inflammed and swollen. I am on my 2nd round of prednisone, taking vioxx, lortab, toradol and continue with such lower back pain that I am at my wits end. In surgery, the doctor told my husband that my ovaries were not in the right place and he had to go searching. If that is the result of the inflammation, when will it go away. I have to be at work 1/2 days to maintain insurance for the family so that doesn't help. I come home and go to bed at noon, get up at 4 and start the hurting all over again. Any one else have anything similar? And what did you do to fix it? I think my doctor is sick of me calling. Go back again Feb 4th release to work full time, yeah right...

Extreme Inflammation
Hi Debbie,
I am so sorry to hear that you have been having such difficulties and have been experiencing so much pain.
I have never had a kidney infection but have heard how painful they can be. You need to continue to get as much as you can. Follow your Dr's. instructions and keep your Dr. informed of what is going on with you. Don't worry about your Dr. "being sick of you calling", it's his/her job to be aware of what is going on with you to prescribe the appropriate treatment. You might even want to keep a written journal of sorts of what you are experiencing; sometimes it helps when you have a log written down of symptoms when you see/talk to the Dr.
Please take things easy. I hope you begin to feel better soon! Let us know how you're doing, ok?
Best wishes and s

I agree with TinaW. I've been told by a doc that he'd rather me call and it be nothing, then NOT call and it be something. The longer a problem (that can be fixed medically) persists, the harder they have to work to get you better. Makes sense to me. I sure hope you get to feelin better. HUGZ

Extreme Inflammation
I do call about every other day so they are used to me and do not seem annoyed but it bothers me that this is not going away with all these meds and lots of rest. I guess inflammatory conditions are difficult to treat. Hope I am not a canidate for chronic pain management, too soon to tell, I know but I live to worry!!
Thanks for your encouraging words.
Debbie
