Did Anyone See The Oprah Show Today?
Oh my goodness.....If anything is going to change our minds about eating healthy and taking care of our bodies this show certainly does.
Her guest was a Dr. Oz who is also the author of the book Healing From The Heart.
He showed actual body organs that were donated from families of people who had autopsies done on them after death. He displayed normal healthy organs and those that were diseased for various reasons including cancers.
One amazing organ, for me, was a close up look at the ovaries, uterus, and fibroids. The fibriods were huge and hard,,, the ovaries were very tiny.
Well besides eating right and daily exercise, meditation, even a minute a day, is a powerful towards good health.
I think that if you go onto www.oprah.com you will be able to see the show on the computer. It certainly got my attention.

Rosalie,
I didn't see the Oprah show but wow, it sounds impressive.
I couldn't agree more with you. Health is wholistic and doing the right physical things (good diet, good exercise) isn't enough. It really has to begin with the spirit. Meditation is a powerful health tool--not that physical health is its goal, but it certainly can be a by product.
I have a feeling that inner stresses are responsible for a lot more disease than we currently are aware of.
Blessings.

Couldn't take my eyes off that Oprah Show! The fibroid looked like a coconut, didn't it? Imagine that inside your body! When Oprah held the ovaries/uterus against her abdomen, I was especially amazed at how small these organs actually are! I think they mentioned that this Dr. Oz is also on the Discovery Channel. The show was absolutely amazing ... a real eye-opener!

Saw it on Oprah
I saw the fibroid show (sorry that was the best part) and was amazed to see it -- and how tiny the uterus and ovaries were. If you missed it, try to see it.

I didn't see the part on the ovaries..I checked
out after the part about the eyes (when he was talking to the diabetic woman). It was certainly an eye-opener. I wish I had watched the whole thing now!
I agree - I would vote for Oprah!

I watched and found it interesting. I learned more about the heart. I had pre-eclapcia and beame heart damage. I missesd sthe diabetes part. My 2 y/o turned off the tv. Seeing the heart, I told my husband how he better eat better. Seeing the other damage makes ya really want to take care of yourhealth. After all yoyuonlyl have one you and one chance to do it right.
So on that note, is good I finally got a hold of a dr to referme to the stomach dr. to possobly fix my eating problems. kIt is so veryhared to eat withought feeling so nausiated or trowing up or in pain. Thesn I need a referal tothe urologist bec of "leaking";. Gee the cancer surgery surlely left me fun. I never had so mkany problems. But I have to eat because I have diabetesand the problems affect it. I have a chronic loss of appitied and more eatingproblems. I let you know what the dre says. I had some good advicefrom some sisters. It could be radiatiion ulcer.

Rosalie,
Thanks for the interesting link. I haven't caught Oprah's show in a while and that looked like a great one. Such inspiration to do the right things for the body (no greater way than to see first hand damage to the organs). Interesting, also to see what an effect extra pounds has, too. All the more reason to keep those veggies, healthy foods and exercise coming!!
Hope you are well. : )
