why is it called the castle and not the dungeon?

I was just wondering, whydo you all call it the "castle"? I have worked at the "castle" where I had my TAH for 12 years and I have never heard anyone refer to it as such. Alright ladies...please tell me!!!!!! P.S. I just love this web site, I discovered it quite by accident after I was sprung from the castle after 5 days!!!! Luv to all my fellow sisters, Mollie C. (by the way I am at the castle right now,supposedly working!).

I just found this site in December. I think it is such a wonderful site. I have learned more from this site than my own doctor. I also find it comforting. I think it is called the castle because you go there to earn your princess status. Ladies please correct me if I am wrong with my understanding. Connie

Well do I ever feel stupid. I guess I should have figured that out on my own,but then again Iwasnt thinking, I guess. But seriously,that is why it is called the castle? I guess now when people ask me where I work I can tell them I work at the castle. But where in the castle is the dungeon? My first trip I called it the "Castle", my second trip I called it the "Pleasure Palace". I guess you can call it what you want but anything is better than "Hospital"
