Back To The "castle" Tomorrow!!

Went to the Doctor today and the hematoma has doubled in size in a week!! I am evidently bleeding or "oozing" in there somewhere. Which is why I am feeling so bad in the last week. The Doctor will have to make an incision (1" - 2") and go in there and "scoop" it all out. Sounds really gross!! While he is in there he will of course look for what is causing this problem and put some kind of clotting gel on it to help to stop the bleeding. He will put in a drain tube. I will spend the night and hopefully go home the next morning. I will have "general" anesthesia - which I am not too happy about - but o.k.

All of this because I didn't want to get cut on in the first place and didn't want to continue peeing on myself!!! Can't ever win or get ahead. I just want this to be over and feel better - like my old self. I will try to never complain about anything ever again!! My wonderful husband is beside himself!! He is of course p.o.'d and most upset. He went off his diet tonight!!! He said he will be good tomorrow!! Everybody think of me tomorrow and say some prayers that I wake up!! Ya'll have been great - Thanks. Robin

Back To The "castle" Tomorrow!!

(((((Robin))))) I am sooo sorry you have to go through another surgery but glad the DRs are going to take care of this right away. It's not fair, is it?

Your sisters will all be with you in spirit tomorrow for your surgery. Just envision us all there holding your hands OK? It will be over soon and you will be back home having a MUCH BETTER recovery.

Best of luck to you... we'll be waiting to hear how it went when you feel up to it... or if you like you could have your DH pm or email one of us and let us know, OK?
s,
-Linda

(((( Robin )))) I'm sorry to hear that you need another surgery. Please don't blame yourself because your decision to have the least invasive type of surgery. I think if I had to make that choice I'd have made the same decision.

You need to focus all of your energy on getting well. I'll be thinking of you and praying that this surgery will send you on the road to recovery.

Dear Robin,

Good luck on your procedure!!!

When I had the surgery to drain the hematoma, I was kinda surprised at the immediate relief from all the pressure down there. And I think I felt better just being in a medical facility, instead of at home worrying my DH and myself & wondering if I should go to the ER.

I am sending huge cyberhugs

Dear ((((( Robin )))))

I'm awfully sorry that you have to have more surgery, and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please don't blame yourself - you did what I would have done, too.

I'll be looking for an up-date on how you are doing as soon as you are home and feeling up to posting.

Dear Robin,
how very upsetting and frustrating for you.-- I can understand that you wanted the less invasive surgery at first - who wouldn't if it was possible!!??

I'll keep you in my prayers - that everything may go smoothly for you from here on in.
