Employer being supportive!

I was so worried about leaving my job as a music teacher for 6 weeks, and even told the HR person I would come back part-time after 4 weeks so I could get the substitute I wanted. Yesterday she called and told me to relax and not even worry about coming back until after Spring Break. They are all more concerned about my recovery than I am! They are getting the sub an emergency teaching certificate so he can go longer than 19 days, plus get paid as a teacher and not a sub. That is good for him and for me.

I just need to relax and breathe and know everything is going to be OK. I am so used to doing it all and it is so uncomfortable to let it go. Once I get surgery over with and start recovery I'm sure it will be a different story. Thanks for being here!

Employer being supportive!

Dear ((((( Julia )))))

I'm so glad that your school system has worked out a way for your students to get the teacher whom you want for them, and that he can stay as long as needed so that you can concentrate on you and getting better.

Please remember, you've only got this one chance to heal, and if you rush it, you may end up with complications later on that would cause you to be away from your classes even longer.

I hope you've got something fun in mind for this weekend.
