dissolvable stitch didn't dissolve (very graphic question)

I'm 2 weeks out of a lap, (more endometriosis, yuck!) and doc used dissolvable stiches. However, one of them didn't dissolve, and it's got a scab around it, with some sort of white fluid and blood (pus?) around it. Is this normal? Should I call my doctor's office?

It's only this one stitch, the others are gone and incisions are pretty well healed now.

Hi Laura,

If it was me, I would definitely call the Dr. He may be able to advise you as to what to put on it over the phone, but you don't want it developing into an infection so it is worth letting him know.

I had that. My dr said it was just my body reacting to the stitch (my problem was the knot). One day I squeezed and it shot out, and it healed up just fine. But, call your dr just to be on the safe side.
