Mixed up feelings!

Hi everyone.

Just logged on to site after being told to check it out by my partner.

Had hyst 5th Jan 04. External scar seems to be healing really well but internally I am still really sore and very tender to touch.

After first week when suffered from not being able to go loo and water infection I started to feel reasonably well however over the last few days I feel like I have gone backwards. When I wake up I want to throw up. Have lost appertite and hardly eat. Constantly cold (which could be associated with lack of food) and now have pain in my back. this is really annoying as had surgery to get rid of back pain resulting from endo.

Bleeding has finally stopped but still have discharge.

Self esteem seems to have gone out of window. Feel very unattractive and hope my overhang goes soon! Partner really sympathetic and caring as are family and friend but dont really think they can understand how I feel - Not usually one to let things get the better of me but this is starting to get me down. Does anyone else feel like this? will it pass?

Mixed up feelings!

Hi Bry,

I am sorry you are feeling so down, are you constipated?? I know I am and get real sick at my stomach which causes me to not want to eat...Just this week I stated I felt horrible because my belly was so blown up and I felt like I looked awful. Then I said to myself this will not last forever. I know it's hard to shake those self-esteem issues it has been for me as well. Keep talking about it here it helps so much it sure has helped me. Hope you get to feeling better and do something nice for yourself if you feel up to it, I bought myself a new purse this week and it made me feel a lot better, I know a purse isn't a big thing but it was what I needed at that time. I even bought some nice body lotion and ordered a lot of make-up from mary kay my SO daughter sells it to me at discount but those feminine things seem to help me a lot. I hope you feel better soon take care and keep posting it really helps....

Mixed up feelings!

Hi Sammie,

Was constipated when first came out of hospital. Could not even sit down with the pain. Thanks to lactulose this problem no longer exists!

Mornings are awful for me. As soon as I wake I feel like I want to be ill but this does wear off during the day provided I dont eat or drink then the feeling comes back again!

Little treats for self sound good - will give it a try.

So far as posting is concerned this does help - simply knowing that my symptoms are no different to what other's are experiencing gives lots of comfort.

Take care.

Mixed up feelings!

Hi Bry,

I am not trying to tell you what to do but I think it would be a good idea to talk to your gyn about this, not eating will make you so weak and you need to fuel your body I know it's hard when just looking at food makes you sick because it does me. I know everytime I eat I get more blown up I am having bowel problems big time but if I don't eat at all then I am so weak I can barely move. As you can see this is a no sleeping night for me and I have been doing so much better it's the hormones I think and my bowel. I wish I could help because I know what that sick feeling feels like, can you call your gyn and talk to them about this?? I hope so....Take care

Mixed up feelings!

Hi Sammie,

Have appointment with Gyn on 24th Feb but seeing GP next week as not sure I can leave things that long. Determined to try and eat as really cannot afford to lose any more weight.

Sounds like you are having a really rough time of it. Bowel discomfort is really awful. I do hope you find some relief soon.

Take care.
