Wednesday Feb 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning

Feeling a bit better today .. I really pampered myself yesterday .. did face packs, intensive treatment on my hair, and was in a lavender bubble bath for over an hour ... so today this princess is ready to FACE THE WORLD !!!!!!!

SO breakfast ... I had 1 slice of toast (granary bread) for lunch, a cheese and onion sandwich on brown bread and a small packet of crisps (lamb and mint flavour .. my favourite!) and for tea, I think its going to be spag bol ... but not yet decided.

Katie, I dread those days when I step on those scales, and although I've tried my hardest they never budge .. stick with it .. the next time you approach those scales you'll have lost double !!!

s to all

Wednesday Feb 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning all ,

Have just done my yoga, eaten breakfast, and am now getting in my computer time before heading out. The scale is headed back down again so I am happy. I haven't gotten into it here yet, but I am transitioning back to the diet I was on a while back as my doctor decided my latest rounds of infection are really a systemic yeast infection. She will test me on Friday to determine how long I need to be on this diet, but the basics are nothing that could feed yeast, which means nothing with sugar (most fruits, alcohol, etc.), no vinegar-based stuff, nothing that is produced with molds or fungi such as most teas (green tea is okay, but I don't like it and haven't found it caffeine free)--well, it's a long list. I already feel tons better though and am getting back to the "eat to live" lifestyle vs the "live to eat" one. So with that plan and combatting the exercise challenge, I am really starting to get back on track. I am hoping by next Monday to fully be back on program with all of this.

Katie--It seems that you when you try the low-calorie, low-fat approach, you always have difficulty--am I remembering correctly? That is what Dr. Agatson has said about why he developed SBD, that he saw people being so unsuccessful with it. Maybe it's not the plan for you or maybe you're not getting enough calories with all the calories you're burning with your exercise. Rememer the info about your body protecting itself by not losing if you go too low. s as you figure out what works best for you!

Emily--Belated congratulations on the weight loss!! That is just great Emily and you are making your body a much healthier machine by continuing Curves faithfully. Don't cave in to unrealistic expectations. Remember where you were when you started and look at far you have come. Get someone to take a picture of you right now and compare it to your "before" pictures. Do this just for you--you don't have to share with anyone. Oh and even a partial inch counts, but some months it will be weight, some inches, some a combo-your body is changing for the better--that's what counts!

Toni--Glad you brought out your inner princess!! You sound like royalty again my dear!

Have a great day all! Remember Chat tonight--my Wednesday night treat--it's calorie free, but so wonderful !

Wednesday Feb 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at ME. In here so EARLY!!! Well I had no choice I had to come here for some motivation. I wanted to go back to bed but knew I couldn't. has been hanging out the past few nights. Puppies got me up at 615. I have an early appt at the hospital so I have to stay up.

Started with a cup of Chai Green Tea w/ Splenda. Breakfast Wheaties w/ ground Flax, and a banana.

I have a lot of running around to do today, and friends from my old job are forcing me to go to happy hour. I can't drink though with all the meds so I need to be careful with what I eat. When we get together it is like a bounty of yummy appetizers. So let's just hope I can :artist:

I'll be around later, not sure I will make it for chat.

Shirley - you amaze me, up late and up early. You go girl, you are an inspiration.

Toni - Glad to see you Pampered the Princess.

If you are on the BSQ Challenge today I hope you make it. No complaints for me because today is my day off for the challenge.

Have a Blessed Day.

Wednesday Feb 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone! I'm up and going this morning. I really needed the kick start this challenge has brought us. I guess I live for the challenge in life and I needed one. I've been on the bowflex already this morning, so that's out of the way. I will do my walk, as I never miss it, and my food is planned out for the day. My water is sitting here and I'm happy to be back OP.
's to everyone who's losing.
's to everyone who isn't. But keep at it, it will come off.
Ok, I'm off for my day. Getting my hair done so I'll look younger again.
I'll check back in later!!

Wednesday Feb 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning all...

Congratulations Nancy for handling your Skip's dinner last night...

And Shirley, how do you ever remember what you can and can't eat??? You are certainly focused on eating choices for better health and your body certainly sends you communications if you don't.

Two out of three days with BSQ's challenge w/exercise. Today (this afternoon) will be back to the gym. It is actually the 5th day in a row w/exercise, which for me is amazing, as I am not consistant w/this at all. It is so nice to feel my muscles in my thighs a little achey.

W/dh scheduled not to be home for supper, I was planning a giant salad w/sliced chicken for me...but, wouldn't you know, ds invited himself to supper for tonight, so I will have to plan something more to his tastes, and have salad on the side.

z to you Shelly - hope you feel better soon.

take care everyone

Wednesday Feb 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning!

Well, so far today I'm OP and happy to be!

Breakfast--orange, oatmeal, cranberry juice, and coffee. Lunch will be garbanzos (marinating in garlic as we speak) in a garden salad, and some fresh berries and starfruit. I need to run a bank errand, so I'll partly fulfill my deferred BSQ challenge by walking there.

Dinner is a question mark. Tonight I'm doing a talk at a parish in Summit, NJ, and one of the parishioners invited me to her home ahead of time for dinner. I know that she made chili for the occasion, but don't know what else will be served with it. I'll be vigilant, I promise!

Almost time for mid-morning tea and a snack.

Katie, we all hit those plateaus--don't worry, your weight will start to move again.

Toni, good for you that you took some "me" time. We all tend to forget how much we need that.

Shirley, Shelly, Nancy, Bliss, and anyone else who may have posted -- BEST to you!

See you all in the afternoon. Can't do chat because I'll be doing that talk.

Blessings,
Marlene

Lavendar bath - Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Toni, that sounds wonderful.

I'm off to download that critical for Win 2000/XP update - so if you never see me again...........

to you all!

Hi all

I am definitly sick and really really not feeling well. I am not staying til 6 pm. I will make it til 4 and then head home. Nothing tonight. I am going to need a nap. Headache tired fever. Hmmmmmmmmm

Shirley Gosh you know me well the only da** way I can lose weight is low carb very low carb. So I am going to KISS. Which is lean meats and veggies only. With oil and vinegar and spices. It is tough but I am in the right place for it. I need 10 pounds off and this will do it. I am going for a Alcohol cheat free month in March. Though I am going to start low carbing again. Man I wish I could eat the other foods. Low Calorie tastes so good to me. But I gained 2 pounds so nopeeeeeeeeee. Though I may be retaining water with how sick I am feeling. I will keep you posted. I want 10 to 12 pounds off my the time I go to Florida. Then if I maintain that over the summer I will be happy and then the fall go for it again. Wish me luck!

Sandi I hope we did not lose you in cyber space.

Marl thanks for your support. I am in a blah mood right now, weather, sick and just plain tired. I will feel better after I get home and into bed.

Hi Bliss good going on the exercise. I never have problems with that.

Nanc yippeeeeeeee on your bowflex working again. Happy walking.

HI Shelly I hope your visit went well with your friends.

Toni I am glad you are feeling better today. Yes I hate it when the scale is mean. I just keep thinking once I lose weight though I will look great. I have exercised so much.

Okay I am off. I have a meeting in half an hour with my annoying boss and it is mandatory.

Ta

Wednesday Feb 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. Just about ready to head out for my "BSQ Challenge" walk to the bank.

Lunch was right on target as planned, garbanzos (garlicky...mmmm) with grape tomatoes, broccoli, celery & carrots. Then a bowl of raspberries & blueberries. Thought there was some starfruit around but no.

Got a call from the lady with whom I'm having dinner tonight that they chili thing is cancelled, and instead we're going out to eat. So I have to reframe the whole thing now--maybe some seafood and veggies, or pasta with seafood, not sure. Depends on where we go. But I will eat with my brain as much as with my mouth--that's the only way I can stay OP.

Katie, sorry you are feeling under the weather.

Sandi, I never developed a taste for green tea, but I like your idea of mixing it with something else. May try that.

To all who will be posting in this afternoon--all the BEST! Will stop in tonight, hopefully, when I get back from Summit.

Blessings.
Marlene
