So much urethra pain....

Help! I am at wits end.

Had a TAH January 10th, went fairly smooth given it was 7:00 AM on a Saturday morning (hemmoraged for no good reason late Friday--4 units transfused, emergency procedure). I'm 38.

Walk out of the hospital/ no pain killers, on my own accord the next day.

Things were just ducky until a few weeks later (although I could tell my urethra had been irritated). The BAM! Pain hit. Diagnosed with bladder infection, round of antibiotics....OK, it's three weeks later and I am on my THIRD round of antibiotics. I've had bladder infections before, but nothing like this pain. Dr catherized me two days ago to make sure my bladder was draining....that evening I became so inflammed that all I could do was sit and cry and take Percocet, which didn't even make a dent in the pain. What the heck could be going on?!!!

I really don't know what is going on , but wanted to send you a and some . ..... can you call your dr again - maybe go to ER??? what you are going through doesn't sound right.

I think you should be drinking a lot of liquids to try and flush out your system - and I know many women drink cranberry juice to help with infections

it really sounds like you need some more attention from the dr.
I hope you get results and relief soon!

I'm feeling for you, have a sis-in-law is on her fourth antibotic for bladder infection. They haven't found anything that's kicking it yet. I'm hoping this does it for her. They wil find something that will get rid of yours. Good luck
