Is it normal for breasts to be VERY TENDER

Hello sisters, I had a TAH on 1-19-04 i was wondering is it normal for my breasts to be very tender? I feel like i don't want anyone near my stomach or my breasts lol. My bf has noticed it to when we snuggle at night they are just very sensitive i was just wondering why ? Has anyone else experienced this ?

Is it normal for breasts to be VERY TENDER

I did experience this for the first two weeks, so tender my own arm made me want to scream. I am at 4 1/2 weeks post op now. They have not been tender for over about two weeks now. I thought it was just hormone level, as the dr gave me a shot in the recovery room that would, and has, worn off during the month. As the level dropped the tenderness left. Just a guess on my part.
hope you are feeling less tender soon, brdesertrose.

I had the most painful mammogram of my life 5 weeks after surgery! Yep, they were still tender. It does eventually stop.
