I can't take it anymore!!!!
My DH is driving me insane. He is so stressed over this surgery that he isn't sleeping and has almost stopped eating. I can hardly get out of his sight or he worries. I feel like he is smothering me.
He has me so upset I can't sleep myself. I really got mad at him last night, but I don't think a thing I said got threw to him.
I am at my wits end. The only good thing is I haven't really had time to stress over the surgery itself. I told him last night if he didn't stop this he was going to get sick and not be able to go to the hospital with me and I would be so angry with him. He said he would be fine.
Sorry I just had to vent. Thanks for listening.

hang in there
hey shelldee,
Hang in there. I'm scheduled for surgery the 8th of March. May DH is concerned and I can tell it's on his mind, but he supports what is best. Has your husband lost someone close to him or maybe he fears it. Maybe ya'll could go out on a date and just talk. Maybe he'll open up to what is motivating this fear. I'm sorry you have this pressure on you along with taking care of yourself. Let us know how you're doing.

I can't take it anymore!!!!
Hi Shelldee
I know, I know. My DH has been calling me 4 to10 times a day. EVERY DAY since I found out I needed surgery. I am really trying to remember that I am very fortunate. And so are you. After reading your letter, I plan on giving my DH a big hug and kiss when he gets home, and thanking my lucky stars he is there for me.

I think you're very lucky that your DH cares that much. I have read lots of posts here about DH's that couldn't seem to care less. It's so sad.
My DH has been very supportive, although I could tell before the surgery he was very worried. He didn't want to talk about it very much before because I know it was upsetting to him. So I came here instead, and let him remain in the dark like he wanted to be.
Just tell your DH about all the good stories you read hear to set his mind at rest. I'm 9 days post op and just went for a 1/2 mile walk. Haven't had to take any pain meds today. I mostly just using them now when I go to bed so it's a little easier to get comfortable and sleep sound.

Thank you everyone! I know my husband is just worried and after the surgery is over everything will go back to normal. The 26th can't come soon enough.
I also know I am so fortunate that my husband loves me so much. I would not trade that for anything. I just worry about him. Thanks again for your words of encouragement.
Mishelle
