Question regarding healing

I don't know how to put this, so, in my usual fashion am just going to lay it all out in blunt form.

A few days ago I started to get a wee bit uncomfortable in the crotch area, a bit of burning but figured that it was due to the vaginal hysterectomy and the trauma my vaginal vault sustained. Two days ago I said what the hay and taking a mirror, looked down there. I found what looks like a sore of some sort, reminds me of the small canker sores you get on your lip in the winter or when your sick. Is this normal or has anyone else had this? Not sure what to do.

same thing

I had a lavh on 1/21/04 and was also a little sore and then discovered with a mirror exactly what you were saying. Did you ever find out what it is? I am going to call my dr. today. It has been hurting for about 2 -3 weeks but I thought it was due to the foley which I had removed 10 days after surgery.

Question regarding healing

I did eventually go to the doctor and he said that it is irritation caused by the catheter, then because of all that they do when they do a vaginal hysterectomy so I was irritated.

I did have a yeast infection and another infection from all the trauma that my vagina got so I am on antibiotics. If you have the same thing please go in and talk to your doctor as you may have what I do. Once the pills kicked in I felt so much better.

Let me know how your doing, what big city is the town your in by?

Question regarding healing

thank you Karen. I have a call into the doctor today. I thought it was getting better and then it really started to hurt again. I saw that you are also in Texas. I am in Denton which is north of Dallas and Fort Worth. Where are you?

Thanks again for the advice.
