Discharge scare
I am 2 weeks out. TVH, I am having a brighter red discharge today. Should I be scared, not soaking through panty liner, but more bright red than has been. How do you know if it's something to be worried about. I will call
dr. if get worse, was wondering if any one else had sane problems. Other than that I am doing well .

Discharge Scare
I had the same thing happen on Friday. I was about 9 days post-op and had a little pinkish thin discharge until then. Then I had my first bowel movement (yikes!) and immediately had a brighter red discharge...still thin and liquidish, but definitely more "blood"-like. I rushed back to my doctor for a check up. He said it's to be expected. As the body breaks down the stitches and I increase my activities, I will notice more "bleeding" or a "redder-colored" discharge. He said not to get excited unless the discharge was like a menstrual period. Thick, no-doubt-about-it blood. So, I'm wearing a mini-pad and trying not to sneeze. The discharge does seem to change hour-to-hour in volume and character, so I'm not worrying anymore unless I see real blood.

Discharge scare
Hi diamondlil
I had the exact same thing happen to me at 2 wks. post op. It lasted for about a day and a half. It started on a Fri. night and my doc wasn't going to be in the office until Monday morning, so I monitored it. Had it gotten worse, I would have gone to ER.
It did make a point of calling my Dr. first thing Monday morning and he said he wanted to see me to check things out, just to make sure all was ok.
Turned out that all was fine. What he said it was was blood that had collected in the vagina after surgery and had taken its time exiting.
I was told that as long as it isn't gushing and soaking through pads, then it isn't considered an emergency.
Keep an eye on it and it wouldn't hurt to give your doc a call in the morning to let him/her know about it.
Take care of yourself and pls. remember to rest, rest, rest and don't overdo things.

Discharge scare
Same thing here, I've had bleeding two weekend in a row. After the first time, went to doctor, everything okay. He said it may happen again and as long as bleeding is a few hours or less, then I should be okay. Stitches dissolve and pockets of blood may come out that were being kept in place with those stitches.
