Dr. release at 4 wks

I had a TAH on Jan 26th (4wks today) and just came back from ny Dr. appt. He said no restrictions as of today. I could exercise even with some pain (just not to the point of no pain no gain) he also said sex was OK as long as we agreed to stop if there was pain. I thought my husband would be thrilled, but he thinks we should wait until 6 wks, which is Ok with me too. Anyone else out there that got an all clear this early?

Dr. release at 4 wks

I had a TAH on 2-02-04 so you are a week ahead of me. I see my doctor next week, but the brochure he sent me home with says sex is OK at four weeks. I kind of thought I would wait a week or two longer since my ab area is still very tender and I don't think sex sounds very exciting at this point. Maybe another week will change my mind. Good Luck!

Dr. release at 4 wks

Hi Nano,

I had a TVH/Tummy Tuck on Oct. 17th. I also got the all clear from my doctor at my four week visit. I was suprised, and my DH was thrilled, when my doctor told me I was clear to do normal activities, just stop if it hurts.

So try that night we did. My DH was so careful. We were both afraid of hurting me. It took us a few weeks to get back to *normal*. We where very careful the first few times. Now things are as good, and maybe even better than they ever where.

One of the things that helped to put me at ease was....the internal exam that the doctor performed at the four week check-up didn't hurt.
