Ovaries: Kept 1 or both
Hot flashes and night sweats??

Hi,

Just wondering if these occur for a female having a partial hyst. and keeping ovaries??

Surgery Type: TVH
Ovaries: Removed both
Hot flashes and night sweats??

Hi,

Yes, sometimes the ovaries go to sleep for a bit after surgery. It takes them from a few weeks to maybe a few months to wake up. If it gets too miserable the dr can give you something to jump start them.

Please be sure to ask your any concerns you have about your post op time and after.
