is this part of primary doc protocol?
my primary doc just called me and told me that she recommends
an epidural,,,or postpone the surgery cuz i should be having a stress test. now mind u i saw her last week ,,said everything is ok,,ekg,,bloodwork,etc...now she calls?,,less than 24 hrs prior to surgery?,,,then she tells me,,,since this is not an emergency and its elective,,i can wait....wellllllll she is not feeling or having this pain on what im going thru,,,,so who says its not an emergency.
anyhow,,,she had proceeded to tell me al lthe risks involved and m yheart can stop....and all the stuff that goes w/it.
hell,,im gonna be in a hospital anyway,,,sigining my life away as it is,,,what does she need to freak me out for?
i go by my premonisions and gut instinct,,,, and i feel this is the time for me to have this done,,,not her..
anyway,,anyone have this said to them less then 24 hrs prior?

Hi, no, my dr and I talked about the risks and possible complications well ahead of time. I do think that it's very important that everyone knows of the risks involved with this or any surgery.
I think that maybe it would be a good idea if you called your dr back and talked with her again. Find out just what her concerns are. I think that you have a right to know. I also think that you should procede only after you get it all worked out between yourselves. It's better to be cautious, I do agree that she should have mentioned her concerns as early as possible.
Best wishes.

is this part of primary doc protocol?
i went there to speak w/her, i wanted to know if my heart was ok.
and it is,,,all is well,,she i, beleive is covering her tushy,,,but,,i talked about this further w/her,,,nothing is wrong,,but i cnat help the fact that i spoke w/her nurse practitioner about my anxiety about anestesia,,so i feel that is where this all stemmed from.
other than the normal nervousness,,im so ready for this,,,and i pleaded w/her,,i said if u were in my shoes,,,u would want this over with,,,and she didnt answer me,,,considering,,,i have been going thru this w/her the past 6 months and d and c and other surgerys as well....and now she says this?,,,anyhow,,i am going thru this unless something is earth shattering,,lol...
but im well aware of the risks,,in anything w/life,,,heck i just signed so much stuff and paperwork,,,,that doesnt even scare me anymore.
