11 weeks post op sleeping through the night?

Hi

I feel great on Estradiol, occasionally I'm overheated when I work out. I decided oh well no biggy, but the biggest problem I have is sleeping through the night, I toss and turn and lay there. Sleep maybe 2 hours and wake up, sleep another 2 you know the drill. I don't make a big deal of it, but should I mention this to the doc? I take Effexor too have been for 4 years, just wish I could sleep a full 6-8 hours solid.

Hi

Sleep difficulty seems to be common for many of us...especially during the first months following this surgery.

Some ladies have found that adding a bit of progesterone cream (which is the "calming" hormone), helps to level things out.

Also, you might try drinking a cup of warm Ovaltine before bed---here's an interesting link about Ovaltine---

I think it's wise to discuss your sleep difficulties with your as well, and see what he/she advices.
