Lavh Vs. Tvh

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if you guys could clue me in on which procedure has a longer recovery time? I have heard it wasn't much different but I also heard the LAVH (my surgery), has more risks and possibly more complications.

Hope you all are healing well!

Not for sure, but I would think the recovery between LAVH and TVH would be real close, if not the same. I had a LAVH. The procedure depends on what the doctor is most experienced performing.

I had a LAVH 2 years ago. I was told the recovery was the same as a TVH - the initial recovery period is 6 - 8 weeks. There are tiny incisions with the LAVH but typically the same internal work is done. A LAVH needs to be done by a doctor who is very skilled in the procedure.
