Please help! Desperate

Hi everyone,

Been here quite a bit lately. Had my surgery on 1/26, pv sling, bladder repair, and posterior repair. Tonight, I am having so much pain and burning in my bladder I'm halfway convinced to go to the ER. My Dr. called in Keflex for a UTI today, but I am sitting here now in pain and discomfort feeling like I have to pee, but I can't, even when I self cath!

Thoughts anyone? Haven't felt this helpless in a long time

this sounds like it might warrant an emergency room visit..especially since you state that youre not getting any urine even with a cath...(.i had a problem around week 4 post-op where i couldnt urinate..i called my dr and he sent me to the ER)..sometimes the bladder can swell which in turns makes it hard to urinate..then it becomes distended which causes it to be impossible to urinate..this is where the problem becomes emergent

Please be careful.

Thanks ladies, it's so nice that people care!

I didn't end up going to ER last night. I rode it out and called my Urologist this morning. I'm back to being able to pee, but I don't want this to happen again over the weekend when there is no one around, so I'll be seeing him tomorrow morning. Still having pain and burning, I'm so blessed tired of having to self cath! I'm a touch depressed in case you haven't guessed. I just really thought I'd be 100% by now.

I'll keep ya'll posted. Thanks again.
