4 weeks post op and frustrated

I had a lap assisted tvh/bso last month. Pre- surgery I was having trouble with relacement therapy causing HA and difficulty with concentrating. Well now it is worse. Post-op I had severe night sweats. I slept nude on a beach towel to absorb the sweat. Only 2 days ago did they appear to be getting better. My doc has increased my dose and tried 4 different options. My biggest problem is my head. I feel 'spacey' all the time. I wake up daily with a 'cold like HA' that does not respond to meds. I currently taking test/est. combination and I feel lousy. The vivelle patch helped clear my head but gave me a horrible HA and bad attitude. Has anyone experienced this fuzziness? Any suggestions?

Alexa,
At approximately 4 weeks post op you will probably experience alot of fluctations in your hormone levels due to your body adjusting from the surgery. When trying a new hormone, new method of delivery, etc it is recommended that you give the new mix some time. Sometimes you may feel worse for awhile but will notice a gradual change for the better. You may also benefit from adding a bit of progesterone to your hrt mix. See http://www.hormonejungle.com/progesterone.htm
In the meantime, know that you are not alone, most of us here in the jungle have been there. {{{Alexa}}}
Hugs :-)

Alexa

Hello! I have been there girl. I am 6 weeks post op from a TAH/BSO and at 4 weeks I remember I was feeling so lousey as far as my hormones go. I was having night sweats like crazy,felt sick all of the time,headaches,dizzy,fuzzy headed. You name it I had it. But now at 6 weeks, I am doing better I am on Cenestin .625mg but started out on .625mg went to 1.25mg then back down to .625mg. I don't have night sweats like I did, I don't feel sick all of the time. But I do get fuzzy headed sometimes and can't concentrate or spell. I can't even remember sometimes what I did the day before without DH reminding me. But I am getting better. There is hope for you to. Don't give up! I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this other women are and have had the same problems. Good Luck on getting out of the jungle. There is all kind of support on this site believe me I know I have been here since before my surgery. It is wonderful without it women with these problems would be lost. Keep me posted ok I would like to hear about your progress.
