4 week check-up

Hi Everyone,
Had 4 week check-up. Had TVH B/S and repair work. Doing well. Can drive short distances, thank God I can get out of this house.Still restricted to light activity. Need to follow up in 2 months. This has been a hard road emotionaly!!!!!!Forces one to take a long hard look at ones life! I have gained weight from lack of exercise, expected. Need my hair done, house is out of order even with hired help (busy brooms) they are a wonderful addition to my life, not all that expensive. Equal to a trip to the mall. Well worth the$. I am sore from the check-up crampie, blahs, was not bad at all I was expecting more pain at the exam. No sex until next appt. no problem here . No big flights of stairs, no lifting, vacumn etc. Just orders to take very very good care of my self, thats not so hard . I think I can get used to doing that. Still very slight discharge(stitches still desolving). Need to stay on stool softners .and MOM when needed. Seems like every 2 or 3 days does the trick. Otherwise things slow downnnnnnnn. The worst part of the whole thing was the impaction ,keep those bowels moving.
love to all and thanks for all the help

4 week check-up

Hi Diamonlil,

Glad to hear you are doing so well after your surgery. I have a question for you. I am 12 days post op TVH and my spotting / discharge has picked up quite a bit in the last 2 - 3 days. DR told me this would be normal as stitches should be letting go right about now.

Did you have this problem as well? If so how long does this increased spotting last? I am still a little on edge waiting for the other shoe to drop as this seems to have gone fairly well so far.

I called the DR office and they didn't seem to want to be bothered with this unless it was an emergency. How am I to know if this is normal?????

Thanks for any input you may have into this.
