Never a Dull Moment!

Got a call from my ob/gyn today. Seems my Primary doctor never send in his OK to the hospital for me to even have this surgery!

Also, the pre-admission testing I had yesterday didn't take enough blood tests. They only tested me for hemoglobin and my dr. thought I'd be tested also for thyroid, cholesterol to name a few.

So, OB is going to talk to the hospital to see if I require more blood work. If so, my Primary can draw blood and have it tested ASAP.

I have a 9:30 appointment Wednesday morning so I can get the OK for a Friday morning surgery.

Plus, work is overloaded and my boss is not happy I have to take some time off again. Too bad, I say.

DH has done a 180 and is being a bit "over" supportive. He has made all these plans to help make life easier for me as I recover. I just pray that it lasts for at least a few weeks!

On good thing about the morning appointment is that I'll get to sleep a little later tomorrow morning!

"it just goes to show you...it's always something"!

Never a Dull Moment!

More blood work taken today.

Got my "OK for surgery" form filled out.

Dropped it off to my ob/gyn.....he had me sign a paper stating that I realize I could die from surgery (joy joy)

He then asked if "Dr. C***" spoke to me. He's the one taking out my appendix. Of course, "Dr. C***" hadn't spoken to me.

I swear, if I come out of this unscathed, it'll be a miracle!

On the plus side, Ob/Gyn gave me a shamrock squishy stress reliever and a St. Patrick's Day "eat drink and be Irish" button.

MaggieSt:

Take a deep breath. I am right ther with you. Not any problems like that but it will all be okay. That is what I keep telling myself. I had pre blood this morning, no one told me I had to fast but that God I did. So I am ready to go. I wanted to talk to my DR I called on Monday still no call. Called this morning, and this is her surgery day (why is mine on Friday?). Anyway I wanted to ask her that because I have not had my period and I fell GREAT should I go through with this. Well of course you know what she is going to say and what every one else has told me but...

Anyway it will be fine, you get to go early on Friday I am not until 2:30. I sign those papers too and I worry about the dieing thing. How often does that happen do you think. Anyway, my Pastor at my Church sent me a prayer that he is saying for my and I will give it to you. Psalm 112:7, He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast trusting in the Lord.
