PMSing ? ? ?

In December I had a TAH (no ovaries). Last month I noticed a "mood" that was quite similar to my former PMS moods. Just yesterday this mood returned. I feel like I'm PMSing! I can't be, can I? I'm taking estrogen. Could it be I'm not taking enough? Or could it be just a coincidence?

PMSing ? ? ?

I have noticed PMSlike moodiness around the 15th of each month. Not as bad as before tho. I kept my ovaries so I am not taking any hormones. Oh well, it's still much better than everything we dealt with BEFORE.

PMSing ? ? ?

My TAH/BSO was Sept 9 and a few months later I was having some really rough days (grumpy, bloated, etc, just thought I was having a few bad days) and one evening as those bad grumpy feelings were going away I realized that it was the time I would have had PMS prior to surgery. I thought about it for awhile and realized that this had been happening every month. I posted on this site and had one response that "my sister" also had this. I mentioned it to my PCP and he said that he has had several ladies tell him they still have symptoms and that our bodies have become so used to having PMS over the years that it doesn't realize we don't have any reason to have PMS now. I have had a few friends tell me that it can last for quite a while......up to a year. Now when I feel it coming on I work with the feelings and it isn't nealy as bad. These symptoms are not even close to the PMS I dealt with throughout the years!!! I can cope with this and so glad I had the surgery! If you notice a trend with your symptoms try to work with it.........and someday soon our bodies will realize they really don't have any reason to "act up" now. Good luck!!!

PMSing ? ? ?

Thanks for responding. It makes me realize that it's not just in my head. I might add that in the last 2 weeks I have taken in an out-of-state granddaughter to raise, my job duties have doubled, and I'm "babysitting" my alzheimers-afflicted mother. Maybe it's not even "PMS", maybe it's stress. All's I know this rage I'm experiencing sure feels familiar!

Still have some moodiness and cravings. Problems with cravings more. I guess some things will not go away.
