pain after urination

OK - I was given my discharge orders and it said to call if I had pain with urination. I am guessing due to bladder infection. But what about pain after urination - like cramps? I am thinking this is due to the bladder being stretched and then released and nothing to worry about - any ideas? Should I call about this one? Hate to keep calling about odd pains.

pain after urination

I feel my bladder cramping or spasming during and after peeing. It's a weird, uncomfortable, but not painful feeling. I am drinking cranberry juice to offset the chance of a bladder infection, as that seems to be a fairly common complication with our surgery.

I also have something like contractions or spasms in my abdomen every morning when I wake up. I used to stretch upon waking in the morning -- obviously, not doing that NOW!!! (or yet, anyway), but it's like my body is trying to stretch itself, especially in the abdomen. I'm pretty stiff when I wake up and it feels like my muscles are in spasm. Not painful really, but pretty uncomfortable. Have you had that?

pain after urination

Yes, and I think I pulled something reaching for the phone the other day - my right side has been sore to the touch ever sense. Sometimes I just don't learn. Just called the nurses station and they said the cramping was normal - but pain or burning pain is not - but I know that is a bladder infection - had those before.

We just have to learn to take it easy (ier).

pain after urination

I'm experiencing the same thing with urinating. My urine was checked at my last appointment and was fine. The doctor just said to keep drinking.

I'm also experiencing the morning spasms. It feels really weird since I want to stretch but know I shouldn't yet.

It's nice to know I'm not experiencing these things alone!

pain after urination

I too am having pain after and during urination. Had my two week check up today and my doc said my bladder was getting used to its new position? They did check my urine though and said it was fine. I just hope this to will pass thank goodness everything else has this far! If it continues its always better to be safe and check with your doc.

Thanks I will keep an eye on it and talk with my doctor. I see him next week Wednesday. I am thinking that if it doesn't improve by then I will reason for alarm.
