Haven't been here in 2 years, but now...

Hello everyone. Two years ago I managed to avoid a hyst and had a lap myomectomy for a big ole fibroid with a uterine lift because of first degree prolapse. Last year my gyn examined me and said all seemed fine. I asked, Any fibroids? and she replied, "Nothing to worry about." Ugh!
I have another appt coming up in May. I'm worried because I have that "falling out feeling" many of you have experienced, like I have a wad of gum "in there". When I bend over or squat, I get a sqeezing feeling. When I stand up, I don't feel pressure but rather I get a dropping feeling down low, like my labia are little water balloons. Sounds crazy. I don't have any pain, itching, problem with urination or bowel movements or anything else that might indicate an infection, but I have been sitting alot lately in front of the computer. Could the pressure of sitting cause inflammation inside giving that feeling? I don't see anything wrong when I look with a mirror. I can't find ANYTHING in any medical book or information online that lists "falling out feeling" as a symptom for anything specific. Any guesses? : (

Hi Rainyday,
Go to pelvicfloor.com. They have alot of info on prolapses and even have pictures. I actually compared myself to one of the pics and found out I had a cystocele. They also have a board where you can ask the dr a question.
Good luck

Hi Chele,
I checked out that website and almost started instantly feeling better! I'm pretty sure that nothing like that is happening to me.
Thanks

Hi Rainy,

I'm glad you checked out pelvicfloor.com It's pretty graphic, but sure helps you understand these problems so many of us have!

I hope your doc will be able to shed some light on the possible reasons you are having these "falling out" feelings. One thing that crossed my mind is the possibility of more fibroids growing and putting extra downward pressure on your uterus. It might not be that at all, but I'm sure your gyn will be able to detect any new fibroids.

Keep us posted on how you are doing, okay?

Beth
