FYI on abdominal binder

My INCREDIBLY nice neighbor (whom I met the day before my surgery) went to a medical supply place today and picked up an abdominal binder for me.

WOW!! It feels great - just what I needed! Haven't felt any more pain and have cut back on the Motrin. aaahhhhhh...

My neighbor is a former nurse and said that they should have given me one in the hospital. As one of you sisters recommended yesterday, I will check to see if they billed me for it. They "forgot" a number of things, but I received a feedback form in the mail and I'll devote tomorrow to completing it in detail - hopefully, it will help someone else. My experience at the castle wasn't bad, but for what they charge, they should treat us like humans, not kennal dogs. :-)

What is an abdominal binder? I have this horrible pinch on my lower right side and just feel like I need something to hold the swelly belly up. Is that what it does?
