friday is the day

I am so glad a friend of mine showed me this site. It has calmed me alot. Went in last friday (March 19) for a leep procedure hoping that was all I would have to go through, but had a call from the dr on Tuesday that said the results were not good and had to have the TAH this friday. Went for the pre-op tests Wednesday and check in the hospital in the morning (March 26) at 8:30 for surgery around 10:00am...I am nervous, but have put in all in GOD's hands...So will see you all as soon as I can get back on.

I'm scheduled for Friday as well. 5:30 am for 7:30 am. I really am nervous too. But this site has helped. I look forward to talking to you all in the coming weeks. Good luck to all the Friday girls.

friday is the day

Add me to the list...I am a nervous wreck today. This week has been busy so I haven't had time to dwell on it but I am home trying to get things in order and am frantic. I know it will be fine but...

I haven't even gotten the call for my time yet...I know I am not her first surgery but don't know when I have to be there. They always call the afternoon before surgery. Nothing like making you wait...

I'm tomorrow too!

I got the call and found out my visit will be at 6am and surgery at 8am. What do you think goes on for the 2 hours? I'm enjoying my wonderful cherry flavored bowel prep and I'm again cleaning everything in sight. I even cut my DH hair just so he would look good tomorrow! It's nice to know that I'm not alone and I can't wait to go on the other side (post op) I have not ventured there yet because I'm facinated with the fact that all the pre op gals have the same questions on their minds that I do.
Here's to wishing us all luck and speedy recovery!

That time between 6:00am and 8:00am will just fly by. They'll be admitting you and drawing blood to re-check your results, putting in your IV and you'll probably see the anesthesiologist. That will probably take an hour to an hour and a half. Sometime between 7 and 7:30, they'll take you off to the operating room and send you to dream land. When you wake up, it will all be over and you'll be a Princess.

All of you ladies will be in my thoughts and prayers. Be brave - it's the waiting that truly is the hardest part.

Hugs,
Arebella

Good luck to you all! Arabella is right. The time flies by. It seemed long to my DH, but that was because I went in at 6:00 am and the snack bar didn't start serving coffee until much later!

After I got the IV and my "cocktail" I just napped, so it seemed like an instant. Another "few minutes" and I was back in my room, having missed recovery completely. I know I was there, but I don't remember!

It's good to be a !
