Anyone Worry About What You Might Say...

while "out of it" during surgery or recovery? I know this sounds trivial, but I'm really afraid of making a fool of myself!

That's so funny, I had that feeling too, but we'll never really know, will we?

No, I wasn't worried. What I wonder about is if I said anything when I woke up in the Recovery Room. I remember hurting so much and I was mad. I thought I was being neglected. I think I just went back to sleep.

I hope I didn't say anything!

I have related this incident on another thread but I will retell the story here LOL

I recall that I was having very vivid dreams during my 2nd laparascopy ..when I woke I remember george clooneys wonderful face *blush* and It took me awhile and the nurse going MADAMMMM THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE ABOUT HERE .

I woke to the face of a very amused nurse .

Yes

I am concerned I will bring up some family issues I have been holding back on bringing up as it will do no good to discuss them.
I am afraid it will all come tumbling out !!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone Worry About What You Might Say...

after my last surgery, I woke up to my dh and mom .I only had one thing on my mind , that I wanted to apparently share with everyone. "Hey, honey MD says 2 weeks until we can have sex again." My dh turned 3 shades of red my mom told me. i was a bit embarrased when I was retold this story but, really don't remember it at all.

My Dr. told me I was "a fun drunk". I got a worried look on my face and then said "don't worry, you didn't tell any deep dark secrets. You just kept asking me the same questions over and over and I'd answer them over and over". My sister brought me a pair of pink flowered flip flops (by the way, flip flops are great for the castle) and I said something about getting my 27 year old son a purple pair. They all got a big charge out of that. Besides, I'm sure those surgery nurses and the docs have seen it all and heard it all, so don't worry about saying anything bad. They also said I kept pulling my gown up and looking at my incision and saying "wow, it's THAT big?" and they kept telling me that I was looking at the TAPE on it. LOL The tape was big and wide so I guess I thought my incision was big and wide too. It's all just things to laugh about now. Good luck and I know you are scared but I can tell you it will all be much better than you expect.
