Drain?????

I s'pose it does sound a little odd

I had what looked like a little rubber hose coming out of my incision. Small amounts of fluid drained out of it onto a piece of gauze. On the second day after my surgery, the doctor's associate pulled it out (slowly)....no pain at all. The little hole where it came out healed shut. Not as scary as it sounds.

Drain?????

I didn't even know I HAD a drain, until a female doctor (who assisted my ob/gyn) came into my room and stated "I'm here to remove your drain"!

I never felt it in there and I never felt it come out. Even my Nurses didn't realize I had a drain. Them and I just thought I was a bloody mess vaginally from surgery. Turns out it was the drain.

Drain?????

Oh no! I shouldn't have read this post!! Now, I'm scared!

I had a drain with knee surgery and I honestly never felt such a pain in my life! Now, I'm not a cussing woman, but I believe I did when the Dr pulled that thing out. The worst part is a lady from my church was there! I was so drugged, I don't remember what was said, but I remember the pain!

If I have to have one, I hope I'm like you ladies and hope I don't feel it!

Here's hoping I won't have to have one b/c its really a scary thought for me!!
