mood swings and weight gain every 3 weeks-HELP!!!!!!

I was put on Lupron injections.Last one in December.I was told it would take 60 days for ovaries to start up.Sure enough Feb 10,March 2 and March 27,I seem to bloat, have mood swings and lose sleep and become extremely fatigued one minute and energetic the next.My docter said this should not last more then 3 months .PLEASE ADVISE. And yes I am taking my iron ,calcium and Centrum and exercising 1 hr a day.

Hi If I understand your post correctly, you were on Lupron injections prior to your surgery, and they were stopped just before the hyst, in which you kept your ovaries. And then your DR said your ovaries would take a little time to start up, which they did... and it sounds like they are in working order, judging by the symptoms you're reporting.

Are you saying that your DR said that you wouldn't have PMS symptoms anymore after your uterus was removed? Because that would surprise me... many women who keep their ovaries continue to ovulate and have PMS symptoms for months or years, until they go through menopause naturally.

Have you talked with your DR about your concerns?

-Linda
