should I be afraid?

Hi Ladies,
I have been stressing over this thing for a while now. I had
a cyst removed from my ovary feb. 1st, just went back to the doc.
and I have another one. He says Hysterectomy it is. I need help
making up my mind. I have two little girls and a husband that I
love very much how will this effect them? I had both of my girls
through c-section, I know that pain-Does it compare. And I have
had cyst removed 3 time before. Just kinda tired of the pain but
I am very worried about a TH. Could someone please tell me if
it is worth it? Is 31 years old too early or no?

should I be afraid?

Hi there.

I guess the main thing here is....do you trust your doc's opinion? Have you thought about getting a second opinion?

Do you want more kids?

These are all things that need to be considered in order to make this decision. Yes 31 is young....I am 33 and am looking forward to becoming a princess in June. Would you be having both ovaries removed? If so, then all I can suggest is research everything you can about HRT. The best patient is a well informed patient. I've spent the last 3 months reading everything I could on endometriosis, and tried alternative therapies. These are the things that have helped me come to a decision.

Don't go jumping in to something you're not sure of.

should I be afraid?

I had a TVH on 22nd March, and I can honestly say the pain was nothing like I thought it would be.I too had a caesarian a few years back and I found the post op pain from the caesarian much more than for the hysterectomy.I am on day 10 now and am only taking the occassional anti inflammatory, and the pain is not breaking through.
I have had more problems with the tiredness I am experiencing (doesnt mix too well with 5 children!),and the discomfort from a UTI (now on the mend with antibiotics)

Good luck with your surgery.
Sam
