Marvelous Monday Morning

Ok, Where is everyone! I thought I'd start today's thread since no one had yet. And it's almost 8:00. Has DST messed with everyone? I find I still have to get up at the same time, it's just not as light outside.
Going to plan my days menu. I'll post it once I figure it out.
Day 1 of the Challenge.

Marvelous Monday Morning

Morning, all!

Morning, Nancy!

Melissa, my thoughts and prayers are with you and DH today!

Izzy booted me out of bed early this morning. I was going to post but couldn't wrap my brain around any words...

I'm all set for day one of my challenge!

I'll be doing my exercise routine as soon as the rest of the household is awake - then it's off to a nine hour workday. I'll be sooooo glad when this week is over!

I was OP yesterday and will be today. F and P for bfast, tuna salad for lunch and roast beef for dinner.

Hope you all have a great Monday - is that a possibility the day after DST starts????

Marvelous Monday Morning

Hi all --

Still searching for that lost hour..............

Today is going to be a busy one........guys are coming to install our new patio door, I have to pick up mom this afternoon to take her to my cousin's tonight, dh has an appt this afternoon but hopefully will get back before I have to leave, since I'm not about to leave these guys working in the house without dh or me here.

And somewhere in there I'm going to start a beef roast marinating in the fridge, so I can cook it tomorrow for dinner when I get home from the gym tomorrow.

And of course, before any of that happens, I'm headed to . And I just got back from taking Brandy for her .

Melissa -- big 's and I hope all goes well with dh's surgery today.

Hopefully I will find some time to get back later.......have a great day all!

Marvelous Monday Morning

G'mornin'

Quick post here...busy day ahead, in fact busy week ahead.
:run3: :run3:

The person who usually plays keyboard for all our Holy Week services is sick and it looks like I'm going to have to fill in --which means some major practice time on my own, plus practices with the choir three nights this week. Plus my usual Holy Week activities of running a big retreat and preparing all the ceremonies. I should be able to stay OP--there won't be time to even think about overeating, much less time to actually do it!

Welcome to our new posters who'll be writing up their food plans and journals on the BSQ challenge--we're always glad to "see new faces" on BEST.

OK--to work. My food challenge days are Tues thru Fri, so I'll post tomorrow's menu plan sometime this evening.

Have a great day!

Blessings.

Marvelous Monday Morning

Morning everyone!

<----- That's what it looks like in my neck of the woods.
Makes getting out & walking a pleasure, not a chore at all.

Ann, enjoy your Passover gathering with your family.
and Happy Passover to all! Starts tomorrow, right?

Holy Holy Week, Batman! Marlene, you certainly will be busy this week! But you're right, it'll keep you out of the new Chef's pantry and I guess that is a good thing!

Ah Sandi, sorry about the Izzy visit. And on top of DST, you must feel wiped. Your meal plan sounds good. I'm off to buy F & P today so that I can follow your lead. I always feel good when I eat that breakfast. Hope you get a rest today!

Nancy, I think you're right. We're all on the old clock. Slllllloooooowwwwwwww morning. Looking forward to reading your menu later.

I read that Bliss is starting SBD today! COOL! If eating the SBD way agrees with you, you really do lose weight, and fast! Good luck with that! Prevention.com has a South Beach message board where you can get support.

I plan to work in the yard a bit today! YIPEEEEEEE!! It's a mess so anything I do will be like vacuuming, a visible & instant improvement. Gotta love that. Plus, yardwork is a workout in my book, so that's a bonus.

Spring fever has struck so supper will be steaks on the grill, spuds, salad. Had bbq chicken on the grill this weekend, too. Love that grilled food!!
Breakfast & lunch are undecided. I'll be good though. Probably some tuna for lunch. yummmmm.

Ah, kids are ready for school so I'm outta here! You all have the BEST day & I'llsee you later!

Marvelous Monday Morning

Hi everyone! Today is the first day of my challenge. I posted today's menu yesterday so I will now proceed to tomorrow's......

Breakfast........1 slice grains and flax bread with peanut butter and low carb yogurt.

Lunch..........leftover turkey, sweet potatoe and cranberry sauce from today's dinner.

Dinner.......small bowl of wheat pasta with sauce and a salad with cheese.

Snacks.........apple and handful of mixed nuts.

It is very cold so I will dash off to Curves and stay warm indoors the rest of the day. My living room/dining room is all put back together now and looks great. New curtains can really change the appearance of a room.

Special s to Melissa's DH!!!!

Have a great day everyone and much good luck to those of us who begin our challenges today!

Marvelous Monday Morning

Day 1 of our challenge.......

The time change is a rough one the first week or so, but here we go! I am getting ready to prepare my breakfast and then up and going to start a busy day. I must remember to take my meal bar, water and tea bags with me to school........... fun, fun, fun my preclinical physical from top to bottom, inside and out with vaccines to the hilt to be sure I don't have or receive any "icky stuff" while in the hospital settings......... OH joy, here come the injections to make arms and buttocks sore!

s to each of you as you begin and succeed on your first week of the challenge............ here we go BEST!

May your day be richly blessed,
Chris

Morning all

WOW yesterday flew by. Amazing what a missed hour can do. Of course the chicks tried to get me to let them stay up til 10 as it was really only 9 nice try chikita bananas ! You know I won!

Well this morning I got my exercise done. Cardio and Upper body workout. I hate cardio with a passion so I have to talk to myself the whole time about how good it is for me. After I am halfway done I feel so much better. So 425 calories gone and my weights. All done by 8 am. So all is well.

Today they are starting my backyard. I am so excited. I know it has to look bad before it looks better. Disney in less than 2 weeks. So all is well. Also I am feeling 85% better. The antiobiotics are really doing their magic.

Melissa good luck today. I hope all goes well with DH. Keep us posted.

Xena I think it is sunny here to but bloody cold. I dont have a window in my office so I cant say for sure what it is like out.

Sandy sorry that izzy made a visit to your place. But hey she was with me for over 2 weeks when I was sick. I am just so glad she left me.

Ann cool on the new door. Is your mom staying overnight. I know how her visits can make you a little crazy.

Nanc morning. Thanks for the startup.

Emily sounds like you are doing well and in control. Do you start to walk this week?

Hi Chris. Hope you have an okay day.

Okay I am off

Marvelous Monday Morning

Well yesterday was my first day of the challenge and the food went well but I didn't get in any exercise, this am I missed water jog to read to DD's class, planning on a walk this afternoon.

Marl you are a miracle worker

Sandi izzy was here also at 5 am and jumped on my bed until I got up at 6.

Chris, just think if your buttocks are sore you can't sit which means you need to walk which means exercise, we can always find the best in the worst.

The disney magic : I wish I was going with you.

Marvelous Monday Morning

Good morning...

Snow, cold, poor robins hopping in driveway, yuck! And my crocus were about to bloom. Oh well!

Yes, I am starting SBD today...gotta do something, and this will hopefully provide the structure I need and allow for the flexibility I also crave. I figure, that if I can drop some significant weight (10 pounds would be nice) in a reasonabllyshort length of time it will give me the stick-to-it motivation I really need. Of course, while doing grocery shopping yesterday, I was drooling over everything that I won't be eating.

Xena - thanks for the info re posts at Prevention.

Has anybody heard how Tamara is doing? Healing thoughts to Melissa's dh and strength to MElissa.

Marl...I guess you will be busy!

Katie - glad your feeling better today.

to all
bliss
