And The Mystery Is Solved

So glad to hear of your good report! You hit on something that I think is SOOOO important and that is actually getting to ALL the suggested follow up visits. I'll follow your lead!

Happy Passover and Happpy Easter to all.

Congrats on a normal exam. And that dancing ca 125 is seemingly normal for you also!! Sit tight. A 5 point rise in three months can't be indicative of too much going on. My med onc told me a four point variance could be had from the same test tube of blood. So in that scenario, your increase may only be 1 point higher. And in four months may be five points lower.
Is this your first four month spread? Enjoy it to the max.
Those four months fly by almost as quickly as the three month times did.

Yeah, Rosalie!!!! That sounds like a great follow up and exam. Congrats on that low number, too. I hope you will find an oncologist that is just right for you!

Hiya

Glad everything is going well for you. I had my appointment with my gyn/onc today and my CA125 was 4. Its normally about 8. Before my operation it was 35 and i had ov ca stage 1a. My oncologist has said he would not be concerned about my CA125 level until it hit 30.

Hope this helps

And The Mystery Is Solved

Oh how I envy all of you with those really low, one digit, ca125 numbers. In my mind it would just give me more leighway. Kind of like going 15 pounds under your ideal weight and being able to eat everything. (like that might ever happen to me HA)

I do agree with Debbie though... too bad I did not have a baseline ca125 way before cancer ever hit. Unfortunately doctors do not do that test just part of a regular exam. Maybe is should be done. If my number was always in the 20's then I could accept that. Anway, right after surgery but before chemo my number was 454 so I guess 25 is great.

Have a great day everyone.

Rosalie
