Have you talked to your doctor about this? You should discuss dosages with your doctor.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

If you choose to take St. John's wort, use it as directed on the package or as directed by your doctor, pharmacist, or other health care provider.

Do not take more of this medication than is recommended. Too much medicine could be dangerous.
Check with your doctor to be safe.

Hear, hear! Very important words from the Hostess!

I took it for a while hoping it would help with my menopausal symptoms. Didn't do much for them, although it did make me a feel a tad bit better overall.

It is so very important that your docs know that you take it. They might not tell you to stop, but St. John's wort can interact with other medicines.

Good luck to you, dear sweetie!

You cannot take more and have it work faster! That simply does NOT work that way! Just because it's "natural" doesn't mean you can take all you want. Hemlock is "natural" as well. So is arsenic.

Please, if you are experiencing depression, talk to your doctor. Don't self-medicate, especially at doses that are well out of the range of safe. And yes, SJW can take 3 or 4 weeks to work. If you keep up that dose, you're liver will be toasted sooner than that.
