Well, it IS my ovary! :*(

We waited around for the results because I could not see myself going the weekend without knowing. I have a cyst on my left ovary that is almost 2 inches. My dr was gone for the day by the time the results came in, so the receptionist gave me the results. Two bad things are #1 she could not tell me if it was fluid filled, semi-solid, complex, ect. #2 I have free flowing fluid in my pelvic region. I am immediately thinking ascites, which mean cancer, right?! So, I won't get anymore news now until Monday and I'm not very comfy with these results. At least I know why I've been in so much pain though, I guess.

What did the doctor say when you had the scan done? Usually they can tell you what the cyst looks like, fluid filled or not, and if there is a cause for concern. Didn't he give you any ideas about what it might be?

Getting results without explanation of their meaning might be worse than having to wait all weekend for the results!!!

Try, if you Possibly can, not to guess at what all this might mean. Try to wait until you have a real conference/discussion with the doctor. I know how hard this can be. And with the internet at your fingertips, it's so easy to look things up and make guesses according to the info you find on the web. But really, really, please DO try to play board games and watch movies and read...Anything you can do to keep yourself from the guessing-game.

Best luck,

Are chocolate, or endometrial cysts more likely to be cancerous. This is what I have. Along with an enlarged uterus and fribroids, Surgery this wed. The dr seemed very concerned and did say the C word at my last exam.
Thanks
