bit of a shock

Hi I went to the Dr last Thursday to see about the weight gain especially around the tummy. Why is it when ever we hop on the Dr scales they alway say more.

Anyway the Dr asked me had my diet changed much then he said to me that it was menopause. I am concerned about the belly. He finally told me that I should go back to netball and all the exercise that I have been doing and that I need to be more active. He even said that stomach crunches were okay I was a bit shocked as my surgery was just 4 months ago.

bit of a shock

I think the key to getting back into any exercise routine is to do it gradually.
My dr gave me permission to go back to the gym at 2 months, but I didn't do any ab work for about another month--- I was too chicken.
As it was, when I did start, I only felt like doing about 15-20 (now at 9 months post op I can do about 140) at a time--

Ab work has never been my fav... but it was the same with all the exercising - gradual increases were pretty easy to take.

Above all, listen to your body - and stop BEFORE you are really tired.

good luck!
