Six Hours To Go

Here I sit at my computer - can't sleep. I'm to be at the hospital at 6:30 a.m. for a TAH at 8:30 a.m. and I'm really nervous. I'll be really glad when it's over and done with. Just wanted to vent. Is any one still awake? Tamalou

Six Hours To Go

I am here. My surgery is 9 days away, and I have hardly slept for a week now myself.

Six Hours To Go

It's really strange how we come to this website for comfort. I just keep thinking that at this time tomorrow it will all be behind me. I think that my biggest worry is something happening during surgery.

Six Hours To Go

that is also my big fear- I have Crohn's Disease (go to www.ccfa.org for info on that) and so I am very likely to have a bowel resection at the same time, so that is where my fears lay. I keep trying to take a deep breath, and picture myself a few months down the road, pain free, enjoying my life again, no need for my heating pad.

Six Hours To Go

Agentalt, I'm here for the same reason. My surgery is Wed; today I had my pre-op at the hospital and I've been tense all day. So I thought I'd check in at the site and see how my "sisters' are doing.

Good luck tomorrow; you'll be in my prayers (hope this doesn't offend you if you're not religious).

Six Hours To Go

OhComeNow - please do pray for me. My faith in God is the only thing getting me through this right now. I have to put my trust in Him. I know that fear comes from the devil and I'm trying really hard not to be afraid.

I will pray also then.

My DH is asking me to try sleeping again, so off I go. Good luck tomorrow and God Bless, Agentalt.

I will pray for all of you who are LIW! Actually the waiting was the hardest part for me, and I only had to waite two weeks from decision to surgery.

I am two weeks post-op today (Tuesday) and I am feeling so much better already.

I have had an easy recovery so far! Thank God!

I am going to call my Dr. tomorrow to see if I can go back to work this Wednesday (I feel that good), just for 1/2 days to be safe.

Good luck!
