? For those who have had Bladder problems HELP
Hi,
I am kinda new here, I have asked questions regarding my Cin II on cervix. I am awaiting my appt with my doc that is on April 19th.
My question now is about Bladder stuff. Could this all be related???
For approx 2 years now I have been living with bladder infections. I went to a urologist (sp) and he gave me a cystoscope in the office and I almost died from pain... well anyways he said I just must be a person who gets bladder infections and gave me a prescription for Macrobid to take when they happen. So I have been living on the stuff.
These are my symptoms: In the morning it is hard to get my urine out. Just small drops will come out a lot of the time (urinary retention). Often I will get this strong pressure feeling in my lower abdomen, then I will start to feel infection symptoms coming on like pain when I go so I just take my Macrobid med and it goes away fast but then weeks later this all starts again.
Has anyone else ever have this??? Could this be related to my recent dx of Cinn II???? I also have very bad periods, very heavy painful which we have tried to correct with bc but I don't like taking them so I stopped them.
Any help would be appreciated. This can't be normal to have these infections all the time!!!
Thanks
Karen

Hi Karen,
I don't have any personal expeirence to share with you, but wanted to reply to *bump* your post back up to the first page.
I hope that someone will come along soon who can give you some insight into what might be causing your urinary problems.

Karen: Ever try taking concentrated cranberry capsules? You can get them in the natural herbal section at the pharmacy. They work better than cranberry juice.
BC pills thicken the bladder wall. Since they simulate pregnancy, they effect the bladder. Pregnant women shed lots of skin cells in their urine, it looks cloudy sometimes with the "floaters".
Have you had your sugar checked? How is your diet?
Lastly, try Googling related topics on the Internet. Like bladder; urine, urology, UTI's, and see what you get. Get comfortable first, though, you will be reading a long long time!!!
Up your clear fluids intake, decrease or stop all caffeine and carbonated drinks, and stay away from sweetened drinks. Eat natural yogurt and with the antibiotics, be ever vigilant about yeast infections. Taking so many repeated courses of antibiotics is a recipe for a nasty case of yeast imbalance.
And get a second opinion. Good Luck!!!
