surgery next Thursday

Hi Ladies,
I was (still am) hoping I was wasting a good case of cancerhead for nothing, but not to sure now. Went to oncologist today for my ONE month (should have know something was wrong there when you go from 3 to 1) checkup. I flunked, I guess. I've had 3 good paps since radiation, but had a spot that didn't look right to the dr, it looked bruised to him last month (no, it wasn't hot sex, thank you). Today it had gotten bigger and he could eye-ball it so to speak. He tryed to take a few punch biopsy's, but couldn't due to the wall being thin and it kept moving. Forgot to mention the pain, almost passed out. Not from the biopsy, just the pain of the spreader, he said it was from the area in question.
Anyway, he said it could be an ulcer from radiation or more cancer as it was at the site where he removed the last tumor.
Have to do my CT prep tonite (yea), CT in morning. Go Tues for pre-op and then surgery on Thur.
What I am confused about is that he said they don't like to operate on radiatied areas as they don't heal, but he wants to cut out the area. He did also say that there is an extensive procedure for "healing" ulcerations, if that is what it is. So what is it? I'm just wondering. Asked what the cancer treatment would be, have that drilled into my head.
I know this is kind of rambling, but know you girls are used to that.
Thank you,
