What happens if I start my period a day or two before surgery? Will they still do it?

I hope I don't sound too stupid....

That's not a stupid quetion. I wondered the same thing and was told that they would go forth with the surgery.

Mine started a few days before surgery but I had called my dr to find out if this would matter....it didn't. After I got dressed at pre-op, they just had me sit on a folded mat. It was no big deal. For peace of mind, you might want to phone your dr just to make sure. Most drs don't care as some women bleed almost non-stop so it would be hard to schedule their surgery.

Put your mind at ease, I'm sure it will be no problem.

My sister had her period for her surgery & when she called the Dr & told him, he said "you won't have your period when you wake up". I don't think it's a big deal.......
