having a hard time
Well, luckily I am getting an estrogen level next week. I am having such a hard time. I havent been able to sleep for a while, I have posted about that before, but I am also having crying gigs. I am having a really hard time thinking about this poor kid who is a hostage in Iraq. He is the same age as my son. I feel so bad for his poor family, and the poo guy looks so scared.
Luckily, DS finished his tour in the gulf and is safe in the states, but he still has 3 years of active duty & he could go back. I hear about this stuff & just start crying.
Been having night sweats (not too many hot flashes surprisingly) and I have been a MAJOR B----- (fill in the blanks).
To top it all off, I think my kids gave me their flu! ARG!

Feel Better Soon
Oh you poor dear!
 to you and your family.
Sounds like having your hormones checked is a good idea. I feel just like you're describing when mine are off. Just try to hang in there until your levels are checked. My DR uses the "How do you feel" test rather than levels b/c she said they flucuate too much for her to find them reliable.
Be as nice to yourself as you can be and ask your family to be understanding of the hormone jungle you are in. I baked for mine while I was being my evil twin sister. That at least made me feel better. It was the best I could do under a hormone malfunction. made it better for DH & Kids too!
Feel better soon sweetie!
Blessings, Suzanne

sadness
Sadness is a part of life. My youngest son turns 20 today and I too am so sad to see the young American lad held hostage and to feel his fear. Our soldiers are over there too. Mothers everywhere are anxious - wars, car accidents, terrorism, crime, drugs, illnesses - we always have our heart in our mouths for our kids.
Hysterectomy is a special time of vulnerability to these feelings and to recognise how much we share with women all over the world.
hugs and sharing

HI
I am glad you are having your hormones checked. It could make a world of difference.
The boy your mentioned in your post ...his family lives about 25 miles from me. They are getting tons of support.........they have had prayer vigils, etc.
He , your son and all of them are in my prayers.
You are dealing with a lot right now, give yourself a break
