I survived !! To all PRE-OP LIWS!!

I am now at home - 11 days out from the castle- OR date Apr 8
for TAH and Burch sling (and a removal of a rt ovarian cyst!)
Yes, there is some pain and exhaustion involved.
Do not be afraid to ask fro pain meds when you need them in the castle.
My care was excellent in Halifax, NS and I hope that you LIW are as lucky to have this care.
I have good days and bad days- mostly better each day- the thing is to look at the big picture from where you started from post-op day 1 and I am up and around , almost at the point of boredom at times but then tirednesssets in and I realize that a rest is in order.
Love to hear some post op stories and any concerns!!

To Cindydiane

Hi!! Today I slept in until 8:30, laid in bed and rested until 9:30
(DH got breakfast for us at 6 AM prior to work)- had a nice hot bath, fed the cat, unloaded the DW and got myself dressed for the day - exciting stuff- what?
Now I am , of course, on the net hoping to help allay someone else's fears if I can. Oneof the posts that I read on this website, said that for every 20 min of activity, rest for 40 min- not a bad rule of thumb.
My DH took me out for a drive for an hour yesterday and it was wonderful. After that I needed to lie down for at least an hour and rest. Today I am quite sore from all the sitting up! RSVP
