Vaginal cuff healing question

Hi,

Last night I noticed that I have some "itching" feelings, as if a yeast infection would be in the very beginning stages...I had two yeast infections in my life and it is a similar itchy feel...anyone relate???? Anyway, last night I noticed this itchy feel, and of course first thing I thought of was a yeast infection and am hoping that isn't it...but then this morning it dawned on me that at two weeks post op (today), it may very well be the vaginal cuff healing and the stitches healing and it may be itching from that?????

The itching is way up in, like it would be at/close to/near the vaginal cuff. Then I thought that well........it is a wound, there are stitches.....stuff like that itches when it heals.....so it is possible.

I wouldn't let it go if the itching got really bad, because then I would tend to think I do have a yeast infection, so don't worry, but I just wonder what you guys think???????

Thanks,
Erica

Vaginal cuff healing question

I had two yeast infections right after my surgery. I took a diflucan and it cleared right up a week later it was back and I took another diflucan. No problems since. The doctor told me that a large percentage of us will be prone to yeast infections when taking antibiotic. I never had them before and sure am not happy about it but I would call the doctor if you even suspect it.

good luck

I also got two yeast infections while healing. My doc prescribed the creme and it cleared up. Since my final exam which confirmed all was healed I haven't had another. I was also one of those who rarely got them. Just call your MD and she/he will call something in.
