More Information!

Hi, I have never joined anything like this before, and has taken me ages to register etc, and can't find list of yr abbreviations again (i've lost them!), so please forgive me! I had a vaginal hysterectomy and anterior and posterior prolapse repaired on the 25/03/04. Have had constant infection since then, so still feeling a bit rough, and 'tail end' still v. sore. My cupboard looks like a pharmacy! I still have my ovaries, and wonder if this explains why i suddenly had sore boobs about 10 days ago, and felt really grumpy (like PMT) Is this the norm? Also does anyone know if this makes you start the menopause early, or not? Grateful for any replies! Thanks.

Hi Debbiet,

Welcome to Hystersisters!
to answer your first question, here is a link to the abbreviations

http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/vie...=abbreviations

They, and other wonderful pages are to be found by going to the top of any page and clicking on "home".

On the right hand side of the home page you will find links to different forums (pre-op , post op, the hormone jungle etc)

on the left hand side you will find articles for before and after surgery, FAQs and much much more.

Since you have your ovaries you could well be experiencing PMS-- you may find that these symptoms diminish a bit as you get farther from your surgery.

My dr told me that with a hysterectomy, I would probably go into menopause earlier than if I had not had the surgery.

hope that helps!
