Headaches

I really need some help ladies..I am having terrible headaches. Currerntly, I take compounded hormones but I am having trouble finding the "magic" amount. The headaches are killing me and making me have NO energy at the end of the day. I feel like I have no quality of life, again. Please someone tell me what I need to try.

I'm sorry you're having headache trouble. How long have you been on your compounds and what are you taking?

I've experienced that myself along with a host of other symptoms, and that was after switching to Estratest HS to my first try at compounds. Rather than try to figure it out for myself, I called my compounding pharmacist's nurse and ran it all by her. Since it had been about 3 months since I started on them it was decided that I'd have my hormone levels tested. Have you had that done yet? It's not an exact science as we're all different and what is hormone balance for me might be horrible for you.

If your doctor is up on prescribing compounds, give him/her a call to see what he/she suggests. If your doctor, like mine, takes his/her cue from the pharmacist, give the pharmacy a call first.

I will call my pharmacy b/c you are right, my doctor goes through them pretty much. I just can't get comfortable. No one understands, and they treat me like I have a migraine but that is not how it feels. I just want to be comfortable. I will call my pharmacy right now and see what he has to say. I do see my doctor on Monday but I have a big weekend planned and I just want to enjoy it. I thought I was going to be so much better after the hyst but I am not.

Thank you for answering. I needed some help today. I am starting to feel all alone.
