Need some reassurance please

Someone please tell me that their surgery wasn't that bad. The nurses were nice, the surgery went smooth, the hospital stay was even pleasant?

I am 17 days and counting and really want to hear this turns out ok for many people and it's worth it all.

I read a post about Jesus being in the operating room today and just started to cry. Maybe that's what I need to do is cry and let it all out.

Thanks Ladies for being there for me.

Need some reassurance please

I only had a problem with the morphine drip. Other than that I was in and out in 3 days. The good this was not being in the maternity ward. The nurses were great! It took me 3 years to convince my doctor to let me have this surgery and to me it was worth it. I am physically stronger and no longer drained all the time. The only other problem was not being able to get into jeans right away. I had abdominal surgery due to 3 c-sections. Even my sex life right now is better than it has been for many, many years. Keep strong it really is worth it I know mine was!

Need some reassurance please

Hi Woodsie,

Yes it is all worth it. I won't say there won't be pain involved but it is definately manageable. My surgery went off without any problems and even the hospital stay was pleasant, although the food was awful. And I'm the type that will eat almost anything. But hey, I lost a few pounds so who am I to complain.

About the nurses...some will be extremely good and others...well...not so good. But really, when do you get to stay in bed all day with people bringing you food, juice, etc. I actually kinda enjoyed being in the hospital...it was a break from my "life". I wish you the best of luck.

Need some reassurance please

Hi (((Woodsie))) I had an easy surgery, very nice nurses and a pleasant hospital stay, could even say the hospital food was above average. It is quite normal to get the jitters and emotions can get the best of one awaiting the big day. Sometimes it is easier if one does not have long to wait. Also, crying can be a good source of release for some, so let it all out and see if it helps.
Please don't hesitate to ask your doctor for something to calm you, they are very use to that. Also, remember we're always here, so come back as often as you need. s, peggiesue
PS:I personally had wanted Jesus there with me in the op room ,guiding the surgeon, etc. for me, He was/is my best source of comfort.

Thanks very much Sisters.

You are a comfort to me. I count on your support. No one I know in my family and friends can really relate to this.

I am counting on Jesus to be there with me to guide the surgeons and nurses and just oversee the whole thing.

thanks again.
