dizzy & light headed

I am 6 weeks post op. Had LAH with ovaries left in. I have been experiencing dizzyness and lightheadedness since the surgery. I started low dose estrogen about 10 days ago as I am also having hot flashes. I had blood work done this past week and all was normal. I had a setback the day after surgery. Went back to hospital for 5 days due to a very high fever. They did not know where fever originated from but treated with antibiotics. There was no infection per the doctors which did not make too much sense. Anyway, here I am now 6 weeks later feeling crappy. I expected fatigue but the dizzyness and lightheadedness is very difficult to deal with. Has anyone else experienced this. Any feedback is welcome. Thanks.

dizzy & light headed

I experienced that dizzy feeling a lot. Thought at first it might be a need for iron as I was quite anaemic but still felt quite dizzy (though not as bad) even when this got better. Then I put it down to a persistent infection I had (needed several antibiotics to clear that up). I still sometimes feel dizzy but this has got much less as time has worn on (I'm about 4 months post-op now). I still don't know if it's just something that happens to some of us and takes time to get better or what - perhaps you could key in "dizzy" as a search word and see what others have said about it (I wasn't registered when I was going through the worst of mine and so didn't try this!).
Perhaps your doctor could give you advice / reassure you. Sorry I couldn't be more help!
Hope you feel better soon.

Dizzy

I felt dizzy too. I was anemic for quite a while postop -- about 3 months. (I needed 3 units of blood during surgery). However, I don't remember being dizzy that long after surgery. I hope you find some answers!
