LIW...only 6 days

Only 6 days to go until "D-day" and as it draws closer, I get more and more stressed out! Any ideas on how to relieve some of this? I would love a really hot bubble bath, but doc says no-go due to the fact that I've not healed from cone biopsy done 2 weeks ago today. Also, my DH is silently freaking out about everything and doesn't want to burden me with his thoughts which is driving me insane!!!!! http://www.hystersisters.com/ubb/confused.gif What can I do?????

I would also like to take a minute to thank all you wonderful women out there for sharing your experiences with others like me in need. Especially to Tammy, its nice to know I'm not alone.
Thanks so much!

Hey, it's me Tammy!

I just happened to decide to check the message board and here you are.

It's only 5 days now and I'm sure you are getting anxious. Try not to be too nervous. I made it through and you will too. I just kept telling myself that it could be worse.

I hope you got my suggestions to ask the doctor on Monday.

It was so nice of you to mention me in your message. It really makes me feel good knowing that I can help others and this situation I am in, isn't for nothing.

If you need ANYTHING at all, I am here.

Take care,
Tammy

After the cleaning fit, I took lots of long hard walks, seemed to put me in better balance and use up the nerves too. I also prepared a guided imagery tape to listen to during surgery. I found the suggestion on Andrew Weil's website. It really helped a lot. Everyone was amazed at how fast I was up and about post-op. AND it was good because before the surgery I was taping positive messages to myself about how well it was going to go over soothing music. You have to get permission from the anesthesiologist to listen during surgery. Luckily mine was a friend of a friend so I could get hold of him last minute.

Oh, just had another thought. I was reading about taking a journey that scares you. They suggested writing down all your fears, putting them in a box and leaving them behind. You might even burn the box with the fears inside and get rid of them--that way your husband could do it too. Mostly, then they won't be bottled up. They also suggested packing paper with the the things written on it you want to take with you--joy, health, courage, etc.
