9 wks post-op pain-normal?

I am about nine weeks post-op and feeling terrible! At about eight weeks I starting feeling so good that I forgot I was supposed to take it easy and overdid it. I think I might have pulled something(?) don't know. Then I had sex the other night, and even though we were taking it easy I am in even more pain now! Not constant, but I feel it when I move, sit too long, etc. My swelling was gone and I was able to wear my old clothes, and now the swelling is back! I feel like I did at four or five weeks post-op. Is this common? Should I just take it easy for awhile or exercise more? If it doesn't get better soon, I'll call the doctor. Please help-I could use some reasuring.

9 wks post-op pain-normal?

Hi Lyndsy:
I had my TAH/BSO on 2/14/04 so we are pretty close with our surgery. I have no pain at all anymore. If it were me I would call my Doctor to be on the safe side. My Doctor told me if I had any unexplainable pain or bleeding to call and not hesitate. He said that it might be nothing but if it is... it is better not to ignore your bodys signals.
Take Care

9 wks post-op pain-normal?

Hi Lyndsy,
I had my TAH on 2/12 and am in the same boat. I did overdo it at 9 weeks and was told that I rushed back into things a little too quickly. It is hard to listen to your body and slow down. For me I am still learning what I can and can not do. The problem is it takes till the next day for me to realize that I over did it.
My abdomen is still tight and swells when I push myself so please do take it easy and do call your Doctor.
You are not alone ~
